It’s time to dust off your picnic blankets and get ready for the highlight of the summer! The traditional Whitchurch Hill Village Fete returns on 23rd May 2026 promising a spectacular day of classic countryside fun, community spirit, and heartwarming entertainment for all generations.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Whitchurch Hill Recreation Ground, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
🎺 Music & Merriment
As you enter, you’ll be greeted by the nostalgic sounds of a live Brass Band, setting the perfect upbeat atmosphere for a summer afternoon.
🍰 The Famous WI Tea Marquee
Take a well-earned break and indulge in the quintessential British experience. Our local Women’s Institute (WI) will be running their legendary Tea Marquee, serving a delightful selection of homemade cakes, scones, and a refreshing cuppa.
🍔 BBQ & Bar: Local Flavours
Come hungry! Enjoy a sizzling BBQ, while the Bar will be fully stocked with local ales, perfect for soaking up the sun.
🏁 Traditional Games & Children’s Races
The afternoon will be packed with classic activities. Watch the little ones take part in the egg-and-spoon race, sack races, and tug-of-war. Along with traditional games like the coconut shy, there is non-stop fun to keep the children entertained.
🛍️ Stalls, Treasures, and Treats
Browse our fantastic array of local stalls, featuring handmade crafts, plant sales, homemade preserves, a tombola, and a grand raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses.

For the first time ever we will welcome circus performers to the fete and, as usual, the Goring Growlers Dog Acrobatic Team will be in action.
